VoxInk ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This page summarizes the service contract used by the VoxInk apps and website. The canonical policy is also available at https://liamh-h.github.io/voxink-privacy/.
VoxInk does not use your voice, translated text, polished text, clipboard text, or document content for training. Runtime content is processed only to fulfill the request. Server logs keep operational metadata such as length, mode, duration, request status, and error class; they must not include transcript, translation, clipboard, document text, original filenames, tokens, or secrets.
When you choose document translation, VoxInk sends the selected image, PDF, Word document, or Excel workbook to our document-processing service to extract text, perform OCR where necessary, translate the content, reconstruct the layout, and generate the preview and downloads you request.
The VoxInk account service records only operational metadata needed for quota, reliability, billing, and abuse prevention (for example job status, input format, language pair, tier, page count, processing duration, and error category). It does not record document text, image content, filenames, or access tokens in analytics or application logs. The website removes its temporary upload file after the document service accepts or rejects the request.
For new document translation jobs, source files, extracted content, previews, and generated downloads are retained for up to 24 hours unless you delete the job earlier. Legacy migration artifacts, if any, are kept out of new processing and handled under controlled cleanup.
We collect minimal information necessary to operate the service:
When you speak into VoxInk:
VoxInk's keyboard extension requests "Full Access" to enable network communication for voice transcription. This is the only reason Full Access is needed. We do not use Full Access to collect keystrokes, monitor your typing, or access any data beyond the voice input you explicitly provide.
You can request account deletion at https://liamh-h.github.io/voxink-privacy/delete-account/ or by contacting support. Account identifiers and user-linked content are deleted or anonymized across the account, usage, analytics, document-job, feedback, and media systems we control.
Some records are retained only as anonymized metadata where required for security, abuse prevention, billing, tax, dispute handling, or aggregate reliability analysis. Examples include payment/order metadata without user identifiers, short-lived deleted-account tombstones, document telemetry under its TTL, and system logs under normal log retention.
All network communication uses TLS encryption (HTTPS/WSS). Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. We follow industry best practices to protect the minimal data we handle.
VoxInk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or our website.
